My story with precious gemstones truly began in Africa, where I lived and discovered a world that would become a passion: gemstones, their origins, and the people who bring them from the earth.
A trained gemologist and setter, I chose to bring together two complementary crafts: understanding the stone and crafting the jewel that will reveal it. A gem is not defined by its colour, weight or brilliance alone. Each possesses a character, nuances and an identity of its own.
This closeness to producing regions has deeply shaped the way I work. Whenever possible, I favour sourcing as close to origin as I can—from mines and source markets to a network of partners around the world.
At BeOrahGems, creation begins with the stone. I then envision it within a jewel designed around it, your story and your desires.
And my work does not stop at design: I personally carry out the setting of my creations. This is an essential stage, when the stone finally takes its place in the jewel and the idea becomes a finished piece.
BeOrahGems is not intended to reproduce jewellery in series. Each creation is conceived as a personal piece, born of the meeting between a stone, a craft and a story: yours.
